Helicone (BYOK)
How to create an API key for Helicone and add it to AnyRouter via Bring Your Own Key.
Helicone is a supported BYOK provider. Bring your own API key string, and AnyRouter routes your requests through it — no platform credits are charged for BYOK-backed calls.
Get your API key
- Sign in at Helicone.
- Open API Keys and create a key.
- Copy the secret and keep it for the API key field below.
Gotchas
Helicone's AI Gateway bills model usage from your Helicone credits (or your own provider keys set up in Helicone). The key is never added to the shared pool.
Add it to AnyRouter
- Go to Dashboard → BYOK.
- Find Helicone under Available and click Add key.
- Paste your key into the API key field.
- Create key: Helicone console
- Default base URL (editable on the key form):
https://ai-gateway.helicone.ai/v1
- Click Save. AnyRouter runs a live validation call against Helicone before storing the key — if it fails, the dialog shows the upstream error and the key isn't saved.
