An open-source agent with 40+ tools. Swap the base URL once and it can call the catalog — start on anyrouter/auto.

The problem
What this is for
Hermes Agent is OpenAI-compatible, but wiring a single upstream model means you eat that provider's outages and rate limits.
02
What to do
Three steps, then copy
- 1.Create an AnyRouter key.
- 2.Point the agent at https://anyrouter.dev/api/v1 with that key.
- 3.Set the model to anyrouter/auto (paid failover) or a specific catalog id from the guide.
curl · anyrouter/auto
bash
curl https://anyrouter.dev/api/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $ANYROUTER_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "anyrouter/auto",
"messages": [{ "role": "user", "content": "Say hello in one sentence." }]
}'Ready to try it
