Free tiers

Unify free-tier keys

Google AI Studio, OpenRouter, Groq, NVIDIA NIM and other free tiers behind one key. When one hits its limit, the next one answers.

What this is for

Free tiers are spread across providers, each with its own key, base URL and daily limit. You end up switching keys by hand whenever one runs out.

How the request flows

Your tool
AnyRouter
Your Google key
Your OpenRouter keyon 429

How to use AnyRouter for this

  1. 1.Create a key on each provider's own site. Each provider sets and changes its own free limits, so check its page for current numbers.
  2. 2.Add each key once on /byok. AnyRouter checks it with the provider before saving.
  3. 3.Call anyrouter/byok from any tool. It routes across the keys you added, moves on when one returns 429, and never spends AnyRouter credits.
  4. 4.Some free tiers train on prompts. Turn on Always enforce ZDR in Privacy settings if that matters for this work.

Limits

  • Free limits belong to each provider and change without notice; AnyRouter cannot raise them.
  • anyrouter/byok returns an error when none of your keys can serve the request; it never falls back to paid capacity.
