# NVIDIA NIM — Bring Your Own Key

NVIDIA NIM is a supported [BYOK](/features/byok) provider. Bring your own API key string, and AnyRouter routes your requests through it — no platform credits are charged for BYOK-backed calls.
This provider has a free tier or free credits — a good place to start.

## Get your API key

1. Log in to [NVIDIA Build](https://build.nvidia.com/).
2. Pick any model from the catalog (for example Llama 3).
3. Click **Get API Key**, or open your profile to retrieve an existing key.
4. Copy the key (begins with `nvapi-...`).

## Gotchas

NVIDIA NIM has a free tier; keys begin with `nvapi-`.

## Add it to AnyRouter

1. Go to **[Dashboard → BYOK](https://anyrouter.dev/dashboard/byok)**.
2. Find **NVIDIA NIM** under **Available** and click **Add key**.
3. Paste your key into the **API key** field.
- **Create key**: [NVIDIA NIM console](https://build.nvidia.com)
- **Default base URL** (editable on the key form): `https://integrate.api.nvidia.com/v1`

4. Click **Save**. AnyRouter runs a live validation call against NVIDIA NIM before storing the key — if it fails, the dialog shows the upstream error and the key isn't saved.
