# InferX — Bring Your Own Key

InferX is a supported [BYOK](/features/byok) provider. Bring your own API key string, and AnyRouter routes your requests through it — no platform credits are charged for BYOK-backed calls.

## Get your API key

1. Sign in to the [InferX console](https://model.inferx.net/catalog/endpoints?tenant=public).
2. Open **Admin → Apikeys** and create an inference API key.
3. Copy the key and keep it for the **API key** field below.

## Gotchas

Use a tenant-restricted key, or set a default tenant on your InferX account. A key with no tenant context is rejected with `no tenant context`. AnyRouter calls the shared token-billed endpoint at `https://model.inferx.net/endpoints/v1`.

## Add it to AnyRouter

1. Go to **[Dashboard → BYOK](https://anyrouter.dev/dashboard/byok)**.
2. Find **InferX** under **Available** and click **Add key**.
3. Paste your key into the **API key** field.
- **Create key**: [InferX console](https://model.inferx.net/catalog/endpoints?tenant=public)
- **Default base URL** (editable on the key form): `https://model.inferx.net/endpoints/v1`

4. Click **Save**. AnyRouter runs a live validation call against InferX before storing the key — if it fails, the dialog shows the upstream error and the key isn't saved.
