tencent/hy-mt2-1.8b is the smallest of Tencent's three Hy-MT2 translation models. It translates among 33 languages and follows translation instructions, with an 8,192-token context and open weights under Apache 2.0. Tencent reports it beats mainstream commercial translation APIs overall. Hy-MT2 30B A3B is the larger model in the family.
